Of course $$$ tooMore involved to get good sounds? No. Ok so sounds like SD3 sounds better but, more BFDtime consuming and more involved to get good sounds. It really depends on your genre, how important flexibility is for you, and how much of an investment you consider drums to be for whatever you do. Via MIDI, can integrate Battery with SD3 and even with Maschine if necessary. This includes NI drums that work in Kontakt. The others I have used, excluding their instant sounds, are mostly a joke as far as detail programming. Personally considering all the EZX and SDX extensions I have collected over the years, a 'certain sound' missing has never happened. If you are after a particular drum or cymbal sound, and you have extensively searched, maybe that's a reason to use something else.

That is always why it's priced the way it is. There is a lot of programming detail in there compared to the competition. To go further than that, it takes some time because IMO SD3 is the absolute best there is as far as features/flexibility. I am using FL Studio 20.8.4 in Windows 10.If you have used EZ Drummer, its very easy use the basics with SD3. But like I said: the posts I linked above were describing exactly the same issue. So I would be very grateful for detailed instructions Since I am not really good with technical stuff, I already had a hard time understanding how the other cases of this issue have been solved. Even though I didn't open the hihat physically. But whenever I touch the hihat pad, the pedal inside Superior Drummer jumps right back to an open hihat. The pedal from the drum kit does move the pedal inside superior drummer now (as it's supposed to).

Linking the foot controller to 'MIDI CC#4 foot controller', like it worked for the first guy, did not solve my problem though. It seems like this issue only occurs in FL Studio. Or this one: viewtopic.php?f=200&t=211387&p=1429370&hilit=hat+%26%26+pedal#p1429370 (For me it is the other way around, only triggering an open hihat signal) There already are some posts about this topic, like this one: viewtopic.php?t=217418 (As far as I can tell, this guy had exactly the same issue as the one I am having now) Other plugins like Kontakt don't play any sound at all when playing the hihat pad with a closed pedal. I tried out different e-drums, resulting with the same problem. After connecting the e-drums to FL Studio via USB, I realized, that there is no possibility to trigger a closed hihat sound. I just bought a Roland TD-27KV drum kit and Superior Drummer 3.
